Understanding Emotional Abuse
Emotional abuse is a subtle yet destructive form of mistreatment that gradually undermines a person’s self-worth and mental well-being.
Unlike physical abuse, this primarily targets the victim’s emotions, self-esteem, and psychological state.
It often involves manipulation, belittling, constant criticism, isolation, and control, eroding the victim’s self-confidence over time.
Recognising emotional abuse is crucial for breaking free from its harmful effects and seeking support to regain a sense of control and well-being.
